Natural Desiccant : Eco-Friendly Desiccant

Natural Desiccant is one of the pioneered desiccants developed by Chemicals (India) Company. Due to its commercial viability and strong efficiency, the desiccant has been widely accepted by the industry. 'CIC' Natural Desiccant consists of highly active natural drying agents which offer the ideal solution for protection against moisture. It contains highly active clay plus additives which are chemically inert, non corrosive and non hazardous. And can be disposed of naturally, thus protecting the environment.

Due to its similarity in terms of application with Silica Gel, it's been widely used as a substitute for Silica Gel. Similar to Silica Gel, water molecules adhere to the surface of the desiccant and the humidity of the surrounding air is lowered

Some of the important characteristics of Natural Desiccant are :

Eco-Friendly Desiccant : Unlike other desiccant Natual Desiccant is completely mineral based desiccant, which is completely bio-degradable.

High absorption power : It will adsorb up to 90% of its own weight in water vapour at 90% RH and 300C.

High Shelf Life : It has an almost indefinite shelf life if stored in airtight conditions.

Inert material : It will not normally attack or corrode other.

Natural Desiccant is compatible with international standards such as Mil-D-3464E and REACH*, thus is a preferred choice for the products exported to countries with stringent custom laws such as European Union. Due to its non-toxicity and economical viability Natural Desiccant is widely used in Food Ingredients such as Maize, De-Oiled Rice Bran, Gum, Spices, Groundnuts, etc. and Leather Goods

Packaging

Similar to Silica Gel, Natural Desiccant is generally used in small sachets, the standard range of Natural Desiccant Sachets are made from Non-Woven Fabric/Poly Paper/Tvyek Paper.

Standard Sachet Sizes: Ranges from 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 25, 50, 100, 250, 500 grams.

Cargo Dry Packs

Natural Desiccant are widely used in container packaging in bulk form, as they are more cost effective and have high efficiency over a longer period of time. CIC Cargo Dry Packs are specially designed for containers. These dry packs can be hung directly inside the containers, thus keeping the container moisture free throughout its journey. These Cargo Dry Packs are designed according to customersâ€™ needs and specification, so that the cargo are delivered to their destination moist free by optimizing the efficiency of the desiccant and keeping the cost factor under control.
